About us

Who We Are

African Nations Prosperity University (ANPU) is wholly owned by the African Nations Prosperity Fund (ANPF), a duly registered and authentic non-profit, non-political, non-religious, and non-partisan organization whose mandate is to support accelerated socio-economic development in African sovereign states. ANPF has been championing access to education for all in accordance with the United Nations Declaration on the Right to Education.

Since its inception, ANPF has actively promoted this noble cause, with many African citizens benefiting from free and 100% scholarships to study at universities of their choice. However, identifying higher learning institutions that provide such scholarships has often been a challenge. Despite this, several universities and colleges—particularly in India, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Georgia, China, Malaysia, and South Korea, among others—have supported ANPF’s work by signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs).

It is from this background that ANPF decided to establish its own university that would offer tuition-free, uncompromised, high-quality education to African citizens. African Nations Prosperity University is positioned as a solution for vulnerable yet talented Africans who are unable to pursue tertiary education at public and private institutions that charge fees beyond their income levels.

ANPU is therefore dedicated to advancing education, innovation, and leadership across Africa and beyond. The university is built on the vision of empowering learners through quality higher education, skills development, research, and global academic collaboration.

ANPU offers skills development programmes—employable survival skills at certificate and diploma levels—aimed at producing entrepreneurs who venture into their preferred business fields, thereby creating job opportunities for fellow Africans. This approach arises from the realization that Africa has produced millions of degree holders who, upon completing their studies, join long queues of job seekers, as the labor market for white-collar jobs has shrunk in many African countries due to technological and economic factors.

ANPU will therefore prioritize skills training to ensure that graduates contribute, in the shortest possible time after completing their studies, to their respective countries’ accelerated national economic development and overall Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth.

ANPU skills graduates will be eligible to access seed capital from ANPU’s Entrepreneurs Seed Capital Fund (ESCF). This fund is supported by partners, as well as by bilateral and multilateral partners of African countries, including scholarships, loans, and education development funding agencies. This makes ANPU unique among universities.

ANPU will also offer undergraduate degrees and postgraduate programmes designed to foster intellectual growth, professional excellence, and societal impact. By integrating academic knowledge with practical learning and innovation, ANPU prepares students to contribute to sustainable development and economic prosperity.

With a strong commitment to academic integrity, inclusivity, and excellence, ANPU aims to become a leading institution shaping the next generation of global leaders.

ANPU curricula will be developed to meet industry demands and will involve industry stakeholders to ensure that only programmes relevant to the market are offered.

As reflected in ANPU’s motto, “Learning to Prosper,” our aim is to produce Africans who will prosper in life after acquiring the essential knowledge and competencies required in today’s contemporary socio-economic world.
